Airdrie remain nine points adrift at the bottom of the William Hill Championship after suffering a 3-0 defeat at home to Livingston.
The visitors took the lead somewhat against the run of play in the 35th minute when Stevie May swept home after good work by Scott Pittman and Tete Yengi.
Matthew Clarke doubled the lead 10 minutes after the interval with a close-range header, before May made certain of the points by grabbing his second goal of the night midway through the second half.
The win takes Livingston within two points of league leaders Falkirk, who suffered a 5-2 defeat at Ayr on Saturday.
