Bromley extended their unbeaten run in League Two to nine games with a 2-0 victory over struggling Morecambe at the Mazuma Stadium.

Goals from Omar Sowunmi and Michael Cheek gave Andy Woodman’s side a third win in four league outings.

Morecambe’s third straight defeat dropped them to the foot of the table and they are still looking for their first home league win of the season.

The Ravens took the lead in the 19th minute when Morecambe goalkeeper Harry Burgoyne failed to deal with a right-wing cross and the ball was headed back across goal by Kamarl Grant for Sowunmi to head into the empty goal from eight yards out.

From there Bromley threatened with Corey Whitely firing over from the edge of the box and Cameron Congreve drilling a free-kick wide.

Morecambe looked to get back into the game after the break but it was Bromley who found the target again when Cheek scored from the spot six minutes from time after Danny Imray had been brought down on the edge of the area.
