Huddersfield cruised to a 4-0 win at Cambridge to extend their unbeaten run to 11 Sky Bet League One games.

Vicente Reyes had already saved well from Ben Wiles by the time the visitors went ahead after 12 minutes. Reyes denied Tom Lees, but David Kasumu was on hand to convert the rebound.

Having scored his first career goal last weekend, Brodie Spencer made it two in two after 32 minutes, nodding past Reyes following Callum Marshall’s fine cross.

A third goal six minutes later ensured the contest was effectively over before half-time. Wiles met Danny Ward’s cross and the ball was deflected up onto the bar before Marshall made it to the ball first to find the net.

Seeking a goal to give Cambridge any hope, Dan Nlundulu provided chances for Shayne Lavery in the opening seconds of the second period and Elias Kachunga just before the hour, but both fired off target.

Marshall made it four 18 minutes from time, scoring after Reyes had saved Josh Koroma’s initial shot.
