- Relegation-threatened pair Cardiff and Preston meet on Wednesday
- Oxford will aim for first away league win of the season at QPR
- Sunderland and Burnley will be looking to maintain unbeaten home records

All 24 Championship sides are in action across Tuesday and Wednesday as matches come thick and fast over the winter schedule.

We have provided a score prediction for all the midweek contests.

Burnley vs Derby (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Burnley have conceded just three goals at Turf Moor this season and they should prove too strong for Derby, who are without a win in five and with just one victory on the road.

Score Prediction: Burnley 2-0 Derby

Luton vs Stoke (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

While the Hatters have had a poor campaign so far, their run of four games unbeaten at Kenilworth Road should put them in good stead to edge past a Stoke side that has lost five of their last eight on the road in all competitions.

Score Prediction: Luton 2-1 Stoke

Plymouth vs Swansea (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

While Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth have conceded 10 goals across their last two games, both of those matches were on the road and they have been better at home, where they are unbeaten in their last six fixtures.

There have been a combined 16 goals in Swansea’s last four matches and an entertaining encounter could ensue between the pair on Tuesday.

Score Prediction: Plymouth 2-2 Swansea

Portsmouth vs Norwich (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Norwich have suffered a big dip in form away from Carrow Road, failing to win their last six road games, and they could suffer defeat at second-bottom Portsmouth, who have won their last two outings at Fratton Park.

Score Prediction: Portsmouth 1-0 Norwich

Sheffield Wednesday vs Blackburn (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Wednesday were arguably fortunate to come away with a point against Preston last time out and their luck could run out against a Blackburn side on a four-game winning streak.

Score Prediction: Sheffield Wednesday 0-1 Blackburn

Sunderland vs Bristol City (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Regis Le Bris has made the Stadium of Light a fortress this season

Sunderland are unbeaten at the Stadium of Light this season while Bristol City have failed to score in their last two on the road.

A home win accompanied by a clean sheet could be on the cards.

Score Prediction: Sunderland 2-0 Bristol City

Leeds vs Middlesbrough (Tuesday, 8pm)

Leeds have won seven successive matches at Elland Road and home advantage could see them through against Middlesbrough.

Score Prediction: Leeds 2-1 Middlesbrough

Cardiff vs Preston (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

With Cardiff winless in five and Preston without a league victory in 10 games in all competitions, all signs point to a draw.

Score Prediction: Cardiff 1-1 Preston

Hull vs Watford (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

A run of six consecutive defeats for rock-bottom Hull is unlikely to end against Watford, who are unbeaten in four and challenging for promotion.

Score Prediction: Hull 0-1 Watford

Millwall vs Sheffield United (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

No more than two goals have been scored in each of Millwall’s last 11 matches and this low-scoring run may well continue at The Den when they welcome title-chasing Sheffield United.

Score Prediction: Millwall 1-1 Sheffield United

QPR vs Oxford (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

QPR are on a four-game unbeaten run and they should have enough to overcome an Oxford side that have lost their last three away matches to nil.

Score Prediction: QPR 2-0 Oxford

West Brom vs Coventry (Wednesday, 8pm)

West Brom have drawn 10 of their last 11 Championship matches while Coventry have drawn three of their last five. Another stalemate could be in store.

Score Prediction: West Brom 1-1 Coventry
