Conor Wilkinson and Jack Stevens both struck twice as Solihull thumped Fylde 4-1 at Damson Park and moved into the National League play-off places.

After Wilkinson’s 10th-minute header from Joe Newton’s cross had been swiftly cancelled out by Charlie Jolley, Moors regained the lead just past the half hour when Ben Winterbottom parried the former Motherwell striker’s shot and Stevens nodded in on the follow-up.

Wilkinson then won a penalty, being fouled by Jolley, that Stevens converted eight minutes into the second half for his 12th league goal of the season.

And Wilkinson added his second with 13 minutes of normal time to go, again connecting with a Newton delivery to head home.

While Solihull rise to seventh, Fylde, two points above the drop zone, slip to 20th.
